This beautiful barn wedding had everything! Live band with disco lights and dancing, building ruins, tractor rides, swimming pool diving, handmade pizza, coloured smoke bombs, and some extreme weather to top it off! This was perhaps one of the most eventful weddings of the year, and certainly had the best cake – I ate way too much.
Luca and Gina’s Godwick Barn Wedding was the perfect combination of classic charm with modern touches. The barn brought that rustic feel, along with the tractor rides, whilst the live band came fully equipped with coloured lighting that transformed the space into a nightclub. The vibes were immaculate with a wild party going on until late into the evening.
Gina is also a wedding photographer, which always adds a little more pressure to my job, but is also immensely flattering to be chosen by one of your peers to capture their special day. Whilst Luca makes the best homemade pizza in town, it was therefore a given that his talent had to be shared with the wedding guests.
Just as we were finishing up the wedding day photos, the weather turned on us and we had the most torrential rain. Luckily we had managed to complete all the couple portraits and family portraits before the heavens opened. It was raining cats and dogs and looked like it wasn’t going to stop! Luckily the bride came prepared with a beautiful white bridal umbrella.
Now what wedding wouldn’t be complete without the bridal party jumping into a swimming pool? It certainly was a fun addition to the festivities, with everyone getting involved and diving in!
Luca and Gina’s Godwick Barn Wedding was such an exciting wedding to be part of and I was honoured to be chosen to capture all the elements of this day, thank you to you both.
