Carolina and Will’s love story began when they met at Oxford University. After moving to the United States they decided to tie the knot there but returned to England to have their wedding portraits taken in the place that they first met.
Oxford and the University were an important part of Carolina and Will’s life and a special place to have their post wedding photos taken. After taking a stroll through the streets of Oxford, with Carolina rocking her red heels, we captured some great candid moments between the two. Next, we headed to the University and found some wonderful spots within the grounds to take some beautiful wedding photos. The old brickwork created a stunning contrast to Carolina’s bright white wedding dress and ruby red shoes! The tall arches provided a great place for that perfect couples shot, whilst The Radcliffe Camera provided an incredible backdrop for many of the photos.
It was a wonderful experience to be able to shoot in such prestigious grounds, filled with rich history and old architecture. The photo shoot aimed to capture the importance of this location to the couple as well as the newlywed joy of the couple. When heading back to their lives in the States Carolina and Will can return with their photos to remind them of both how they met and their wedding day.
Having wedding portraits taken after the wedding itself, at an important location, can be a great way for a newly wedded couple to celebrate their union and extend the festivities of the wedding day. It is a chance to put back on the wedding dress and suit and take some romantic photos without the pressure of the actual wedding day.
Thank you to Carolina and Will for letting me capture these special moments, and the opportunity to shoot in such an amazing location.
